![]() DO NOT APOLOGIZE, CHRIS: Maria Sharaphova did the same thing to a male journalist a while back, we still hear crickets anytime its mentioned (no pun intended). DO NOT APOLOGIZE, CHRIS: What a position for a reporter to be in? She's now gaining sympathy for being complemented on her beauty!? DO NOT APOLOGIZE, CHRIS: The narrative of the media in general, seems to be - put the uncivilized 'nigger' in his place. DO NOT APOLOGIZE, CHRIS: Another white man wants to take money out of another black man's pocket...Yeppii!!! DO NOT APOLOGIZE, CHRIS: Dwayne Bravo did the same thing one year ago! ... ... DO NOT APOLOGIZE, CHRIS: What's the worst thing that could happen? They send you back home to play beach cricket with coconut branch on the island paradise that is Jamaica!? West Indies is to cricket what Brazil is to football, we create more legends in our sleep than they could ever manufacture; it's their loss! DO NOT APOLOGIZE, CHRIS: For the amount of millions that your talents help to bring in for the 'Big Bash League' the least they could do is to vouch for your character. DO NOT APOLOGIZE CHRIS: You're the best T20 player in the world, surely one of the greatest of all time! You win matches, pack the stadiums with fans, and have now single-handedly given the Big Bash League more attention than it has probably ever received since its inception, what else could they ask for!? DO NOT APOLOGIZE, CHRIS: I heard that you did. It's Okay. We understand the difficulties of a black man in a white man's world. We cast no judgement, you're a star, a West Indian icon! Yours Truly, West Indian Supporter Since West Indies stopped winning - which is actually before "coconut branch hit sour lime for six".

Agreed 100 % , i also think understanding cultures need to be in it because different cultures are not researched and understood what might seem normal to some cultures might not be acceptable to others. The west Indian culture as well needs to be looked at , west indies culture is known for their entertaining outspoken, laid back but direct approach towards most situations,as you rightly stated examples in previous interviews and press conferences, I think we all know the "thirst man" Chris is but i believe it was not fully is his personality that lead him to comment to Mel McLaughlin , as i said which is acceptable top us might not be for other places in the world had it been in the Caribbean with a Caribbean reporter on Australian television broadcasting it would have never been on yahoo's front page, because of the two of the same culture would understood each other , i will assure you if he know it would of been blown out of proportion, he would reserve his comment.
